Several months of negotiations among the Ministry of Transport, Environment and representatives of the Government Office have ended successfully. The European Commission confirmed the list of ten priority transport buildings among which are the bypass of Czech Budejovice, continuation of the D11 highway in Hradec Kralove or bypass of Frydek-Mistek.

"We appreciate the decision of the European Commission coming after several months of negotiations. We have saved the structures that are ready for construction and that have a direct impact on citizens throughout the country. We can continue to build additional more than 120 kilometers of our roads and keep them European money involved them,“ says Transport Minister Dan Tok.
The construction of roads, modernization and repairs continue
This year, the Ministry of Transport has an unprecedented 12 billion crowns for repairs, modernization and maintenance of highways and I. class roads which will spend onto repairs of over 200 km of stretches. Three billion come afterward to the regions to repair II. and III. class roads.
There is also a number of new constructions for which an EIA opinion may never recur or solve an accelerated process, therefore, it is possible to launch them this or the next year. For example, it concerns the constructions D3 Sevetin - Borek, D11 Smirice - Jaromer, bypass Panensky Tynce on D7 and other several dozen kilometers of new roads.
Also this year, the Ministry of Transport along with the Roads and Highways Directorate envisage the completion of the 16.5-kilometer stretch of the D8 highway from Prague to Dresden that is going to start operating before this year’s Christmas.
