·         Arranges for the printing of Euro-licences for Czech  carriers  engaged in international   goods transport by road, and their distribution to Regional Authorities;

·          Negotiates the  annual quotas  of foreign entry permits for non-EU member countries and arranges for the exchange of those permits;

·         Allocates CEMT permits for  goods transport;

·         Arranges for the translation of amendments to the technical  annexes to the ADR  Agreement, and their publication in the Collection of International Treaties ;

·         Ensures the application of the ADR  Agreement in the Czech Republic, and its  implementation into Czech  national laws and regulations;

·         Arranges for the translation of amendments to the  annexes to the ATP  Agreement, and their publication in the Collection of International  Treaties;

·         Supervises the special training for drivers of vehicles  carrying dangerous goods, according to the ADR Agreement , and issues certificates of that training, based on a successful  passing of the final test;

·         Supervises the  examinations of ADR safety advisers , and issues certificates of qualification to perform the  duties of a safety  adviser for the transport of dangerous goods   by road ;

·         Ensures that special multilateral agreements  according to ADR Agreement  proposed by ADR Member States are discussed domestically, and, in the case of common consensus, signs them on behalf of the Czech Republic, ;

·         Co-operates with the MT in ensuring the improvement of the professional competence of public administration employees;

·         Performs ultimate state supervision in matters concerning the inspection of international  goods transport, while operating on the road network;

·         Takes care of the administration of the appeals of the decisions of Regional Authorities in administrative procedures, including representing the Ministry before courts in matters concerning road  goods transport;

·         Co-operates in the preparation and tendering of the  Goods Transport Information System project, and ensures its ongoing innovation;

·         In its work, closely co-operates with governmental and non-governmental bodies and authorised organisations, and the appropriate offices of other state administration bodies, primarily with the Ministry of the Interior and the Czech Police;

·         Elaborates statute-implementation norms in the sphere of road  goods transport;

·         Co-operates in the drafting of the statute on road transport and other statutes in the sphere of road  goods transport (primarily acts on offences and on administrative fees);

·         Monitors the level of the execution of state administration by Regional Authorities
