The staff of the division take care of the conceptual and co-ordination activities in the sphere of regular technical check-ups and exhaust emissions measurement; the professional management of technical check-up stations (STK) and exhaust emission measurement stations (SME); participate in the professional management of test stations (ZS); issue binding instructions and information for the work of STK and SME; co-ordinate the provision of services to the STK and SME network; issue professional certificates for STK and ZS control technicians and SME mechanics; keep a registry of STKs and the results of their work, and a registry of SME, of STK control technicians, SME mechanics and test station control technicians; perform the role of an appellate administrative body in matters concerning all STKs and SMEs.
