Department for Transport Engineering

 

The work of the Department for Transport Engineering is based on Act no. 361/2000 Coll., On Traffic on the Road Network and on Changing Certain Acts, as amended, tying into Act no. 13/1997 Coll., On the Road Network, as amended.
 
Related to those Acts are Regulation no. 30/2001 Coll., Implementing the Rules for Traffic on the Road Network and the Regulation and Administration of the Traffic on the Road Network, and Regulation no. 104/1997 Coll., Implementing the Act on the Road Network, as amended.
 
The following norms (technical conditions and sample sheets) tie into the matter of, and detail, the above-mentioned Regulations:
 
• TP 65 Principles for road signs on the road network (currently subject to revision);
 
• TP 66 Principles for temporary road signs on the road network;
 
• TP 100 Principles for orientation-road signs on the road network (revision also proposed);
 
• TP 117 Principles for information-orientation road signs on the road network;
 
• TP 133 Principles for horizontal road signs on the road network;
 
• TP 141 Principles for the system of variable road signs and equipment for variable traffic information on the road network;
 
• VL 6.1 Vertical road signs;
 
• VL 6.2 Horizontal road signs.
 
TP 141 is distributed by the corporation City Plyn spol. s r.o., Odborů 4, 120 00 Praha 2; other TP and VL are distributed by the Transport Research Centre -  Centrum dopravního výzkumu, Líšeňská 33a, 636 00 Brno.  TP 117 and TP 108 are issued as one volume, together with TP 100.
