The Czech project "Learn to Survive" was awarded by CIECA. It was awarded in the category BEST ROAD SAFETY INITIATIVE IN 2022 at the 55th Annual Meeting in Vienna. This award recognises outstanding projects, ideas and activities by CIECA members that promote road safety, help save lives and reduce road injuries and raise standards within their own organizations.

The ministry representative Stanislav Dvořák, Director of the Driver Agenda Department, presented New questions for applicants for driving licences at the conference. This Czech activity has also been well received, especially its innovative element linking education and testing, where we focus on preventive ongoing communication of new issues.

"We are very pleased about the recognition from global experts in the field of transport safety, who appreciate the fact that the Czech project is the first of its kind in the world as an initiative leading to accident reduction," says the project's chief instructor Jiří Novotný. "I really appreciate the fact that the international community of experts has awarded the Czech project which we support and which gives us feedback that we are on the right track in our efforts to move the domestic driving school system forward," adds Director Dvořák about the success.

CIECA is an international organization comprising 41 countries and dozens of other testing, driving and training institutions. Last year the Learn to Survive project already won an award from eGovernment magazine for its interactive digital part and has now won an international award.
