This was the main theme of the Czech-Indian Industry Day, which took place at the Ministry of Transport. Czech companies and research institutes had a unique opportunity to interact with the representatives of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), the Indian Space Industry Association (ISpA) and leading companies in the Indian space industry. "This is the first space industry day we are organising with India in the Czech Republic," said Václav Kobera, Director of the Department of ITS, Space Activities and Research, Development and Innovation of the Ministry of Transport. "This is a follow-up to last year's Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU, during which we organised a meeting in Prague between representatives of the European Commission and EU Member States and representatives of the Indo-Pacific countries," Kobera said. After the presentation of the Czech and Indian space industry, bilateral meetings of companies will take place to discuss cooperation on joint projects and possible supplies of cutting-edge Czech technologies for the Indian space programme. The presentations will also include an exchange of experiences from investments of Czech businesses in India and Indian businesses in the Czech Republic. On Wednesday and Thursday the Indian delegation will head to the Prague headquarters of the EU Space Programme Agency (EUSPA) and also tour Czech space companies in Prague and Brno where negotiations on specific cooperation will continue directly in the production facilities. "Given the size and maturity of the Indian space market and the growing capacity of the Czech industry and research institutes, it is important for us to focus now on discussing concrete opportunities for cooperation," added Ondřej Šváb, Head of the Space Technologies and Applications Division of the Ministry of Transport. The Czech-Indian Industry Day in Space Activities took place within the framework of projects supporting economic diplomacy. The incoming mission of the Indian space industry to the Czech Republic is organised by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi and the Ministry of Transport.
