OneTicket, the universal train ticket system, will now receive a new type of travel document. Since 11 December, people can buy a one-day network ticket for travelling around the Czech Republic.

"The timing when we come with innovation is symbolic: it is on the day when the time schedule changes. The one-day ticket is valid all day on the train connections of all railway undertakings participating in the system. Passengers can thus transfer between the trains of the different operators without any restrictions," says transport minister Martin Kupka.

OneTicket is suitable not only for Czech citizens but also for tourists. "Anyone who wants or needs to travel around the Czech Republic without being tied to times, places and train operators can use our ticket. And now also for one-day trips or excursions," adds Jan Paroubek, director of the state enterprise CENDIS that operates the OneTicket system.

The one-day network ticket is a complement to the existing OneTicket portfolio of network tickets for 7, 30, 90, 180 and 365 days. It costs CZK 868 and can be bought on the website www.oneticket.cz, in the OneTicket mobile app, at the ticket offices of participating railway undertakings, with the conductor on the train or at ticket machines.
