“The Ministry of Transport aims to support a mutual cooperation and activities of Czech aviation entities with their Mongolian counterparts. We consider signing such memorandum on ministerial level as a fundamental cornerstone for future cooperation. The memorandum guarantees establishment of a long-term relationship, which is crucial in this field”, said Deputy Minister of Transport Jan Sechter.

This memorandum establishes a base for long-term relationship between the two countries, especially between aviation entities. It provides base for setting rules in aviation, sharing experiences, establishment of common projects, training of aviation experts, development and construction of airplanes or ensuring safety in civil aviation. The Czech Republic belongs, in those areas, among the best on the international level. Signing the document may also help mutual cooperation in air traffic management or air transport infrastructure development.

The memorandum builds on an Agreement on air services signed between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of Mongolia in Ulaanbaatar in 2017, effective from 21 February 2020.
