The Ministry of Transport opens another call targeting the construction of recharging stations

The Ministry of Transport announces on September 28, 2018 the second Operational Programme Transportation call under a subsidy scheme for the support infrastructure for alternative fuels, targeting the construction of the so-called supplementary network of standard recharging stations. The maximum allocation is CZK 174 million under this call. The deadline for submitting applications will be February 15, 2019.

Applicants doing business in these sectors (who can provide evidence of this) can apply for the subsidy: electrical installations, power distribution, electricity trading, and/or those with experience operating at least 10 publicly accessible recharging stations and those who submit a project involving the construction of recharging stations on the Czech territory. The scope of the project depends on applicant's considerations. In this call, the maximum rate of support of eligible expenditure may be up to 70%. Economical operation, readiness and relevance are the evaluation criteria.

Another call focused on the construction of the so-called supplementary network of recharging stations will be announced next year. By the end of 2023 at least 800 recharging stations should have been built, so that the national objective, stipulated by the National Clean Mobility Action Plan, passed by the government in November 2015, will be met. This new call follows up the first call announced in January 2018 under which four applications will be supported. If these four applications are successful, there will be 132 standard recharging stations installed and supported from the Operational Programme Transportation scheme with an aggregate amount of CZK 26 million.

More information on the terms and conditions of the support under this new call can be found in the detailed documentation of the call No. 67 published on the website of the control body for the Operational Programme: Transportation: http://web.opd.cz/vyzva-67
