The president of the Czech Republic Miloš Zeman today appointed the new transport minister Vladimír Kremlík at the Prague castle. The priorities minister Kremlík set are acceleration of construction of key transport infrastructure, reduction of preparation time for high-speed rail lines and development of so-called PPP projects in motorway network construction.

Later in the afternoon minister Kremlík arrived in the ministry building together with prime minister Andrej Babiš. They were welcomed here by the departing minister Dan Ťok who gave the handover report to minister Kremlík where he summed up the current agenda at the Ministry of Transport. Minister Kremlík then met the different deputies and heads of organisations that report to ŘSD.

"The first thing I want to focus on is faster preparation and construction of core traffic infrastructure. An act on the acceleration of traffic infrastructure construction is currently in the law-making process and must be finalised," minister Kremlík said.

Vladimír Kremlík graduated from the Faculty of Law of Charles University. Before his appointment as head of sector, he had worked as a deputy for Legal service and assets management with the Office for Government Representation in Property Affairs.
